Way behind with all the news, computer is now fixed, so I will get up what I can, Shihan

At the Eastern Open championships in Nottingham, I made an announcement to the whole of the Karate ka in attendance. It was that I had been informed by the New Karate England President Mr Victor Charles that the 24th September event in Sheffield at Ponds Forge was going to be recognized by Karate England as the official English Championships, he asked that I give out this information to all present, and that an official statement would follow on the KE web site. This was the news that everybody wanted to here, and is the right step by the Karate England board.

Following KE's board meeting on Wednesday, I will be sending out the official entry forms for this event.

"Shihan Peter" elected Vice President of the New

Governing Body for Karate in England, at the IGM on 6th

 November 2005

'EGKB Agree to Dissolve'

Click here on how the voting went

During the meeting on 30th October at the Holiday Inn, Coventry, the EKGB council agreed to dissolve the EKGB and merge into a new Unified Governing Body on the 6th November, which will be at Lougborough University. This will mean that all Karate at last will be under one Governing Body, this will be supported by Sport England.

The AMA and USKA  fully supports this new venture. All instructor and grading qualifications will be endorsed by the new Governing Body.

The AMA Snr squad have been invited to take part in the 3on3 which will be held at the NEC Birmingham. Tickets and table information click here

10k booking form click here you must be 18-23yrs, see Shihan.

AMA Presentation and Party evening Tickets £5 see Andy, Alex or Neil.

"UNIFICATION"

Is just around the corner, for all Karate in England.

USKA and the AMA are fully behind the process which is supported by Sport England, we will follow who ever hold the title of Governing Body.

You will find some EKGB groups against this. Why I here you ask..!!! because they have more to lose than most and have a vested interest in seeing the EKGB stay as it is.

The big date for all associations in the EKGB is 30th October be there and vote yes to Unification, its the way forward for all Karate Ka. This is not about individuals but about all practicing karate Ka Traditional or Sport.

As you know I have worked tirelessly for the good of Karate on the board for 4 years, again we are nearly there. One more meeting and then the IGM on the 6th November, where all associations from all over England will meet under one roof.

If some groups in the EKGB cant see any further than the nose on their face, and that this is for the good of karate in England. Then if you are reading this from one of those groups? then maybe your in the wrong association. Join a group that wants to go forward like the AMA/USKA
